Jagsifat, known by his stage name conVIth, hails from the vibrant city of Mohali, Punjab. At 27 years old, his journey as an artist is deeply rooted in the poetic legacy passed down from his maternal grandfather, a wordsmith who crafted shers, poems, and essays.

Introduced to the world of poetry at a young age, Jagsifat found his passion in rap music when he was 12 years old in 2010. Like many Indian kids, Eminem became his initial muse, laying the foundation for his love of the genre. Life took a pivotal shift in 2014-2015, a period marked by challenges that fueled his artistic maturity, reflecting deeply in his writings, and that’s when he delved into the works of Kendrick Lamar, Tupac Shakur, Lupe Fiasco, Andre 3000, and J. Cole, expanding his artistic horizons.

In 2016, Jagsifat, unknowingly and unintentionally, took a plunge into music as “Conscience”, releasing raw and unpolished but lyrically and conceptually heavy tracks. His early compositions were primarily in English, showcasing his commitment to mastering the language of rap. In 2018, he changed his moniker to “conVIth”, when his musical vision altered and he released “I’m Not Him” as a PSA for the same.

The year 2019 marked a significant turning point as Jagsifat decided to weave his Punjabi roots into his art. The fusion of Punjabi and English in his lyrics became a distinctive feature of his work, adding a unique cultural dimension to his music.

The pivotal moment arrived in 2020 when he took a significant step by uploading his work on audio streaming platforms. This marked an upgrade in the quality of his productions, as his songs underwent mixing and mastering now.

On December 15, 2023, Jagsifat unveiled his latest release, “salt fence,” after disappearing for 2.5 years, during which he moved to Toronto, to find new stimulii and inspirations, and learned that his true strength lies at home, with his dear ones. In May 2023, he came back, and this profound revelation, along with his new composition, served as a catalyst for a life-altering decision, as he made a bold decision to transition fully into the world of music, bidding farewell to his profession as a software developer.

In 2024, conVIth released six songs, steadily building momentum and refining his sound. In March 2025, he dropped aam bagh, his first-ever full Hindi rap record—marking yet another artistic leap and showcasing his growing versatility and cultural resonance.

As he forges ahead, conVIth is set to leave an indelible mark on the music scene with his unique blend of Punjabi and English, combining introspective lyricism with a rich cultural tapestry. Jagsifat's journey reflects a commitment to authenticity, as he continues to carve his path prioritizing honest art over anything, creating a unique musical narrative that resonates with audiences worldwide.
